Hello Military-Connected Students,
I wanted to introduce myself as a Psychologist on this campus since February of 2018. I recently worked at the San Diego VA in their Tele Mental Health clinic. I also spent two years of clinical training on the PTSD clinical Team in the Salt Lake City, UT VA while in graduate school. In 2016-17 I worked at the Veterans Medical Research Foundation (VMRF) attached to the VA in La Jolla for a year on a comparison treatment study as the Prolonged Exposure for PTSD therapist. I have been trained in Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) which are both evidence-based treatments for trauma and PTSD. I have also been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia to treat insomnia and specific sleep disorders. In addition to working with trauma I like to work with depression, anxiety, stress, adjustment, academic performance, and I definitely work with relationship and interpersonal dynamics. I also value and like to work with various identities and multicultural factors.
